KENNEDY CENTER REACH: SOCIAL IMPACT

At the Kennedy Center, we believe in the transformative power of the arts to build community, inspire joy, and drive social change. We use art to advance justice and equity, showcasing visionary artists whose work addresses vital social issues. Our stages are a platform for marginalized voices, where we prioritize visionary leadership over institutional norms. By amplifying these authentic stories, we challenge barriers between the arts and our diverse D.C. community. Through creative collaborations and shared learning, we engage new audiences and inspire change that reaches far beyond our walls.

Now in its eighth year at Trade, the show transcends traditional drag, blending performance art with dynamic storytelling through fashion, humor, music, history, and classical art. Each month, Mx. Noir curates a new theme, collaborating with guest artists to bring fresh and innovative experiences to the stage. With its bold fusion of culture and creativity, Sissy That Presents takes place every third Wednesday, offering a unique and thought-provoking performance that pushes the boundaries of drag and art.
