t r a n s f o r m e r is a Washington, DC-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and elevating emerging artists. Founded in June 2002 by a collective of artists and arts organizers under the leadership of Victoria Reis, Transformer’s mission is to connect and empower a diverse range of artists and arts leaders. The organization creates innovative exhibitions and programs, both independently and in collaboration with global partners, to showcase evolving artistic practices, promote cutting-edge visual arts, and engage audiences with contemporary art.

SIREN ARTS: DRIFTWOOD
"FOUR SEASONS"
t r a n s f o r m e r presents the 7th year of our Siren Arts program at the beach in Asbury Park, NJ, supporting 13 east coast based artists presenting innovative performance art works that celebrate the ocean and address themes of labor, climate change, and human & environmental interconnectedness.
Each artists’ five day beach residency includes public artist talks 6pm Wednesdays at Transparent Clinch Gallery, and performances 7pm Thursdays on the 2nd Avenue Beach.
